Akwid

Akwid is a rap/ Mexican music duo. The duo are brothers Sergio and Francisco Gomez. They are from South L.A., California. They were influenced by rappers like NWA, AMG, Snoop Dogg, DJ Quick,Hi-C, and Second to None. They were also influenced by Mexican artists like Chalino Sanchez and Carlos y Jose. Akwid invented a new style of rap. Its Rap and Banda put together. Akwid started off making underground records back in the days. Until they got discovered in 2001. They released their first album in 2003. But first single in 2002 "No Hay Manera''. They had great success with this album. In this album they made duets with artists such as Jenni Rivera for "Taquito de Ojo" and the late Adan Sanchez for "Apesar de Todo". Their second album will be released on June of 2004.Akwid will have a few artists to be featured in the album. They will probably have as much luck as they did with their first album maybe even better.
